Membership Module

This module allows allow the Client’s system administrator(s) to do the following:

• Setup an open or closed membership form for individual members [Open membership – means that any individual with a profile may signup to be a member. Closed membership – means that only individuals in a defined group may login and pay for membership].
• The system will support both a rolling membership or fixed membership. [Rolling membership is defined by a fixed term with a rolling start date. Fixed membership is defined as a fixed annual start date and end date for membership].
• The site allows an administrator to create multiple membership groups (categories)
• Administrator may then define associated dues for each membership category.
• The dues may have a defined annual fee and an associated late payment fee as well as an expiry date
• Administrator may download reports on payment status as well as email members that have not paid.
• Members may login and pay their member dues.
• Members may also download their invoice to pdf. Member may also download statement of all past member dues payments.
• Payment is integrated with customer payment processor
• Client may import current members into the X-CD dues system.
• Client must first setup profile fields in X-CD then match Client import fields to X-CD fields

Optional Features Include*:

• Membership Review (acceptance/rejection): A signup form may be implemented with a review process. This only applies to Closed membership. Once approved, an administrator may assign dues to accepted candidate.
• Donations Module: Membership may have donations integrated within the membership signup. Donations may also be setup as a standalone E-commerce store
• Journals & Other purchases: Membership may include purchase of other items including journals
• Auto Renewal: Membership may also integrate an Auto renewal process whereby the member may indicate at the time of payment that they wish to have their membership auto renew on the date of expiry. Member’s card details are saved to a vault within the payment processor. This is currently supported by Paypal, Authorizenet and Moneris only
• Member search to find other members by Name, County, Research Area, etc. (depends on fields in database)

Note:  A member database can be initially imported by the Client through our import template. Client acknowledges that all contacts in the member import are valid and current members and have agreed that their personal information can be stored on the Clients database.  Each member will be placed in a member category and a user fee will be charged for each member during the year regardless of whether the member is a lifetime free member or does not renew their membership dues during the year. Upon first login to the system each member must accept the terms and conditions pertaining to the privacy of their personal information.  Non-members or past members are strictly prohibited from being imported to the contact database.
